ECO-KARGRIP STRIP is a custom-cut anti-slip strip solution designed to increase friction between the load and the support surface at linear contact points. Made from rolls of recycled rubber, the strips can be configured in various widths, lengths, and thicknesses for use under pallets, crates, beams, machinery, and other load items. The product enhances the effectiveness of the securing system without replacing straps, chains, bars, or other anchoring devices.

Custom-made strips for linear supports

ECO-KARGRIP STRIP is produced by cutting anti-slip rolls lengthwise. The narrow format allows the material to be positioned directly at the load’s linear contact points, with the width, length, and thickness adapted to the required configuration. The strips are typically supplied in rolls, making them easier to handle before use.

Available sizes

ECO-KARGRIP STRIP is supplied in strips cut to size. The minimum width is 50 mm, while the length is determined based on the customer’s request and the original size of the material. Eight standard thicknesses ranging from 3 to 10 mm are available.

04 / Materials

Recycled rubber and a dotted surface

ECO-KARGRIP is composed of SBR rubber granules derived primarily from end-of-life tyres (ELTs), with possible minor amounts of recycled rubber from other sources, bound together with polyurethane resin and with the addition of EPDM granules. The recycled content is approximately 90% by weight.

The surface features a selected, uniform, and non-directional grain. Slight variations in appearance, due to the nature of the recycled material and the manufacturing process, do not compromise the product’s functionality.

Color and Finish

ECO-KARGRIP STRIP is black, with no added pigments, and features a speckled surface created using colored EPDM granules.

05 / Performance and Use

Friction and compressive strength for load securing

For ECO-KARGRIP STRIP, the technical data sheet lists a dynamic coefficient of friction of μ = 0.75, determined in accordance with VDI 2700 Sheet 14 under dry conditions. This value applies to a test setup consisting of a used load bed, an anti-slip mat, a wooden EUR pallet, and a load of approximately 800 kg.

This value includes the 5% safety margin specified in the test and may vary depending on the contact surfaces, environmental conditions, and the cleanliness of the materials.

Compressive strength at 30%

Compressive strength is determined in accordance with ISO 3386-2 and evaluated according to VDI 2700 Sheet 15, with a maximum deformation limit of 30% of the thickness. The TDS lists the following conservative values for the tested thicknesses.
