Recycled materials certification is now an essential requirement for entering public tenders and demonstrating the real sustainability of products. Since December 6, 2022, with the entry into force of DM 23/06/2022, self-declarations are no longer sufficient: recognition from an accredited third-party organization is required.
That’s why at Casei Eco-System we have adopted REMADE®, an environmental certification scheme accredited and recognized by the Ministry of Environment as proof of compliance with CAM.
REMADE®: the Recycled Materials Certification Recognized by CAM
REMADE® verifies, according to UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17065, the percentage of recycled material or by-product present in a semi-finished or finished product. The certificate, issued by an independent third party, is officially accepted to demonstrate compliance with the Minimum Environmental Criteria.
Advantages of Recycled Materials Certification with REMADE®
- Transparency on recycled content and raw materials origin.
- Facilitation of access to Green Public Procurement tenders.
- Increased commercial credibility towards B2B clients and Public Administration.
- Immediate alignment with CAM requirements without self-declarations.

REMADE® and CAM: a Direct Connection
REMADE® is the most reliable tool to meet CAM requirements: it certifies the quantity of recycled material, supply chain traceability, and the absence of unverified self-declarations. For a complete regulatory framework, you can read our guide on CAM and recycled materials certification.
The History of REMADE® and the Foundation’s Creation
Born in 2009 as ReMade in Italy, the brand became in 2013 the first accredited Italian scheme for recycled materials certification. In 2024, under CONAI’s aegis, it transformed into the ReMade® Foundation – Social Enterprise, a national competence center that assists businesses and Public Administration in the operational application of GPP and the spread of circular economy.
We chose REMADE® to offer our clients a solid, transparent, and recognized environmental guarantee. In the public market and sustainable construction supply chains, recycled materials certification is no longer optional: it’s a requirement of professional seriousness.

FAQ – Recycled Materials Certification and REMADE®
What is Recycled Materials Certification?
It’s a formal verification, issued by an accredited third party, that certifies the percentage of recycled material contained in a product, semi-finished product, or raw material. It also includes supply chain traceability and compliance with required environmental standards, such as CAM.
Who Can Issue a Recognized Certification for Recycled Materials?
Only third-party organizations accredited by entities like Accredia or European equivalents. REMADE® is a certification scheme recognized by the Ministry of Environment and accredited according to UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17065 standard.
Is REMADE® Certification Mandatory?
It is not mandatory in absolute terms, but it becomes necessary if you want to participate in public tenders that require compliance with CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria). In these cases, REMADE® certification is one of the recognized tools to demonstrate the content of recycled material, instead of self-declaration which has not been allowed since December 6, 2022.
How Does REMADE® Differ from other Certification Schemes?
REMADE® is a multi-sector scheme, applicable to various materials (rubber, plastic, metals, fabrics, etc.), which ensures transparency and traceability of the entire production process. It is one of the most widespread schemes in Italy for the certification of products intended for public procurement.
Where Can I Find the List of REMADE® Certified Products?
